100% time (40 hours per week)
Reports to:
Supervising Physician and Office Manager
Responsibilities:

Secures and records complete health history, including obstetrical,
gynecological, contraceptive, medical, surgical, family health
and genetics.

Performs appropriate screening physical examination with special
emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast and complete
pelvic examination, obtaining materials for STD screening, cytologic
and vaginal smears and other types of more specialized screening
procedures as may be indicated by medical standards.

Performs, orders and interprets routine laboratory tests.

Provides education and counseling in areas of health maintenance
and reproductive health care, including nutrition, genetics,
sexuality, childbearing, menopause, and parenting, as trained.

Provides assessment, education and management for comprehensive
family planning care, including infertility, contraception, adolescent
health, pregnancy, and genetics as trained and consistent with
standing orders.

Provides screening and clinical management within medical standards
and standing orders of women having minor gynecological and contraceptive
problems.

Provides ambulatory prenatal and postpartum care for women with
uncomplicated pregnancies, as trained.

Collaborates with other health care professionals in providing
comprehensive primary care.

Provides referrals as needed to other health and social services
in the community.

Collaborates with Office Manager on the training and evaluation
of the medical procedures performed by office staff.
- Participates in the medical services evaluation process as needed.
- Provides input into the development and review of medical protocol
for contraceptive and obstetrical care as needed.
- Assists in the development of training plans for newly hired medical
office staff and precepts nurse practitioner students and medical
residents as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Pennsylvania Registered Nurse Licensure. National and PA Physician
Assistant Certification. Successful completion of an accredited Nurse
Practitioner or Physician Assistant training program, or its equivalent.
Pennsylvania Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure. Travel required.
