This self-study course covers basic principles of immunization and vaccine use, as well as immunization practice, delivery, and program design. The Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine (ATPM) produced it, in collaboration with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Nurses Association. EngenderHealth, a nonprofit agency working to improve women's health worldwide, is dedicated to developing online "minicourses" to support the international network of family planning and sexual and reproductive health providers. Currently, three courses are available: "Sexuality and Sexual Health," "Sexually Transmitted Infections," and "HIV and AIDS." New Developments in Contraception:
The First Transdermal Contraceptive System

This educational program outlines the needs and preferences women have when selecting a contraceptive method. There is also info about the new contraceptive patch, as well as patient information handouts comparing methods of contraception. The Continuing Education Committee of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health has approved this program for 2 contact hours including 1 hour in pharmacology.
