Adagio Health's Family Adoption Center (FAC) is a state-licensed, private,
non-profit agency. It is dedicated to providing caring confidential
services to women with unplanned pregnancies and those wishing to become
parents through adoption.
Family Adoption Center was developed as a result of Adagio Health staff
experiences with women who had unintended pregnancies and those who
were experiencing infertility. Listening to these women, Adagio Health
staff became concerned about the quality of counseling available to
women facing unplanned pregnancies and the barriers faced by those wishing
to adopt.
An experienced Licensed Social Worker is on staff 24 hours a day to provide non-directive, supportive counseling for anyone seeking adoption services or information.
Family Adoption Center was licensed as an adoption agency by the Pennsylvania
Department of Public Welfare in January 1983. Since then, FAC has offered
comprehensive adoption services. Adoptive parents involved in private
or out-of-state adoptions can also take advantage of FAC's home study
services.
Domestic Adoption
Family Adoption Center provides a variety of services for birthparents
and adoptive parents through its domestic adoption program. Since 1983,
FAC has placed more than 200 children in permanent homes. Read more
about FAC services for birthparents or
adoptive families.
International Adoption
Family Adoption Center is currently piloting a program to facilitate
international adoption placements. Learn more about services for adoptive
parents or the international adoption program.

Community education is available to any interested group (churches,
schools, community organizations, etc.) at no cost.
